EL PASO, Texas — The Hospitals of Providence East Campus is proud to unveil its latest investment of two state-of-the-art surgical suites, along with an expanded post anesthesia care unit (PACU).

The new surgical suites add additional surgery capabilities and are equipped with the latest technology and surgical robot systems.  The spacious new operating rooms feature advanced imaging capabilities, enhanced lighting and integrated technology with video monitoring.  The expanded PACU offers additional bed capacity for patients recovering from surgery. 

“This expansion demonstrates our commitment to provide more access to high-quality surgical care for residents of East El Paso,” said Tasha Hopper, Chief Executive Officer for The Hospitals of Providence East Campus.  “This investment further supports our mission to improve trauma care for our region and ensure our patients have the access to the care when they need it.”

The Hospitals of Providence is proud to have the largest robotic surgical fleet in the region, offering patients access to minimally invasive surgical procedures, contributing to faster recovery times.

“The addition of these new operating rooms and PACU will dramatically expand our ability to perform some of the most complex surgical procedures and improve scheduling and recovery times,” said Hopper.  “As the area continues to grow, we are committed to growing with it and making the necessary investments to ensure access to care is readily available.”
