Ms. Cortinas is the Vice President & Chief of Staff at The University of Texas, El Paso. Ms. Cortinas is responsible for providing senior strategic leadership and advancing the mission of the University by managing various programs and initiatives, including implementation of a 10 year strategic plan.  Ms. Cortinas provides oversight of various global campus departments including Legal Affairs, Information Security, Planning, Institutional Compliance, University Police, and other administrative operations.  Ms. Cortinas earned her law degree from The University of California, Berkeley and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Texas at El Paso.
